Jigawa Govt. inaugurates two rice mills to boost production
Gov. Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa on Thursday inaugurated two ultra modern rice mills, as part of efforts to accelerate rice production in the state. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the mills were established at Hadejia and Kafin-Hausa local government councils of the state. The governor, while inaugurating mills, said that his administration promised to establish two additional mills in Hadejia, before the end of 2016. He said the measure was part of effort to encourage paddy rice production and processing with a view to add value to the produce. The governor explained that the state government had adopted effective measures to encourage investment in agriculture and mobilise participation in rice cultivation.
