Kwara Govt. pays N9.5m for land acquired for fish farming


The Kwara Government has paid N9.5 million compensation for 11.4 hectares acquired in Ilorin for fish farming.
The Director of Bureau of Land, Alhaji Salman Ibrahim, presented cheques to the beneficiaries in Ilorin on Thursday.
Ibrahim said that the land was acquired for fish farming in order to create employment opportunity for unemployed youths.
He said that there are 24 beneficiaries, and urged the representatives to make sure that all the family members benefit from the money given to them by the government.

The beneficiaries are the land owners of Asa River and Mubo Street in Ilorin East Local Government Area
