Okorocha asks to resuscitate Mbakwe's poultry farm

An appeal has gone to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, to resuscitate the poultry farm built by the former governor of Imo state, Samuel Mbakwe.
A concerned youth, Mr Amuche Brian-Okoro, stated this in Njaba Local Government, while addressing youths of Umuokoroezike community in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo state.
According to him, the Avutu poultry farm is " near collapse" , adding that,  it used to be one of the largest poultry farm in the zone and country at large.
He regretted that "All we are experiencing in agricultural sector today is more talk and less action" , adding that "for Nigeria to witness a revolution in agriculture there must be a legislation backing the plan of the government in that direction."
Okoro was not happy that the type of empowerment given to the youths in the society over time had not actually placed them in the rightful position.
He, however, warned that “Politicians should stop empowering the youths with motorcycles and tricycles, but empower them to establish agricultural ventures.
"I belief that agricultural empowerment will create more jobs, address problems of insecurity as well as create wealth for young people. It will also bring them happiness."
